Pastors' Briefing

May 23 - Birmingham, AL

At TEMPLE EMANU-EL in Birmingham Alabama (one of the state’s oldest synagogues), several members of both the Jewish and Christian communities gathered to hear a Mideast briefing by Erick Stakelbeck— Host of CUFI’s The Watchman on TBN & Director of the Watchman Project.  In addition, CUFI’s Central Regional Coordinator—Pastor Lyndon Allen— presented an introduction to Christians United for Israel as well as the biblical reasons to stand with Israel and the Jewish people.

All who attended were thrilled to hear the information; several enthusiastically joined CUFI.  Many thanks to our CUFI Alabama State Directors, Pastors Reginald and Brandy Gibson, for their tremendous assistance in coordinating this event.  CUFI also appreciates the generosity and kind
words of Rabbi Jonathan Miller who arranged the usage of the historic facility, where he serves
and addressed the gathering of area leaders.

If you are unable to attend this event or you would like to do more to support Israel, then please sign the Israel pledge. Your name will be joined with thousands of others from across the country and presented to our elected officials in Washington DC to encourage them to continue to support Israel.

The Israel Pledge

We believe that the Jewish people have a right to live in their ancient land of Israel, and that the modern State of Israel is the fulfillment of this historic right.

We maintain that there is no excuse for acts of terrorism against Israel and that Israel has the same right as every other nation to defend her citizens from such violent attacks.

We pledge to stand with our brothers and sisters in Israel and to speak out on their behalf whenever and wherever necessary until the attacks stop and they are finally living in peace and security with their neighbors.
