"So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses
had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as
Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered
his hands, the Amalekites were winning. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on
one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So
Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword." Exodus
17:10
A great victory over a great enemy was won and Moses built an altar on the site
of the battle and named it, "The Lord is my miracle." It appears God
uses people when performing His miracles. Aaron, Hur, Joshua, the Israelites
and Moses were all active participants in this "miracle" and they
will be remembered as such throughout all eternity. Christians United For
Israel invites you to be part of a miracle God is performing on behalf of the
Jewish people and nation of Israel. There is still time for you to be a part of
the 5th Annual
CUFI Washington Summit on July 20-22.
If you have been considering attending but have not yet registered, please do
so on our website right now. If you live within driving distance of Washington,
D.C. and participating in the entire conference is not an option for you, then
please call the CUFI office now and sign up for the National
Night to Honor Israel Banquet on July 21st at 7:00pm.
Fierce enemies once again threaten the nation of Israel and you may think your
attendance on Capitol Hill can have no great significance in the battles they
are facing. Aaron and Hur may have had the same thoughts as they simply stood
and held the arms of Moses on top of a hill in Rephidim long ago.
