Psalm 133

What can I say other than, “thank you!”
From the moment we began the Daughter’s for Zion prayer meeting we could sense
the presence of God at the Fifth Annual Christians United for Israel Summit in
Washington D.C. like never before. Scripture after scripture was fulfilled by
the over 4,500 attendees from every state in the union.
During prayer we could hear the rain shower down on the convention center and I
turned to Diana and said, “It is the sign of the blessing!” Over 1,500 people
joined us in prayer and worship which fulfilled Psalm 122:6,
Pray
for the peace of Jerusalem…
Following prayer we were invited by Rabbi Scheinberg and several other
Orthodox rabbis to join them in observing Tisha B’Av, which is a set time of
mourning over the destruction of the temples in Jerusalem. Nearly 1,000
Christians and Jews, including the State of Israel's Ambassador to the United
States, Michael Oren, sat on the floor and were led in the reading of the book
of Lamentations. This event was a first in the history of Christianity! It was
a moment of divine unity! We could sense God’s blessing even more as Psalm 133
became a reality,
Behold,
how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity…For
there the LORD commanded the blessing--life forever.
Word of Faith Church from North Carolina provided a Holocaust Museum
exhibition that rivaled any I have seen. As we and our Jewish friends walked
through the beautiful and yet somber display of our history with the Jewish
people you could sense Isaiah 40:1 come alive,
“Comfort,
O comfort My people," says your God.
We opened our meeting Tuesday morning with one session after another
providing education to those in attendance of the biblical reasons Christians
should support Israel and up to the minute information of the current
conditions in Israel and the Middle East. The Prime Minister, via live feed
during the Middle East Briefing, brought greetings and thanks for CUFI’s
support. The last event at the convention center was the finest Night to
Honor Israel that we have ever had in Washington, D.C.
The next day CUFI delegates went to Capitol Hill and met with 86% of the
Congress- a new CUFI record- and voiced their support of Israel and the Jewish
people. Once again you could sense the Lord’s guidance as Isaiah 62:1 was
fulfilled,
For Zion's
sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet…
I want to thank Zion Oil and Gas, Inc. for sponsoring
the Night to Honor Israel and the Ambassadors’ Reception. Thank you for
helping make the fifth annual CUFI Summit such a success.
I want to thank the leadership and every
delegate who made the sacrifice to attend the Summit. I ask that you save the
date for the sixth annual Washington Summit, July 18-20, 2011. We must only
grow stronger in our support of Israel and the Jewish people.
