March 25, 2019 WASHINGTON – On Monday, leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, issued a statement applauding President Donald Trump for formally recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
“Time and again the Trump Administration has followed through on their promises to CUFI and the pro-Israel community. We welcome the President’s formal recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and look forward to continuing to work with the Administration and Congress to strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship and enhance the national security interests of both nations,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.
“As a direct result of Syria’s ruthlessness and Iran’s increasing presence in the Arab Republic it has been clear for years that Israel could never relinquish control of the Golan Heights. President Trump recognized this reality and acted on it. This policy has enjoyed bipartisan support and we are especially grateful to the President as well as those Members of Congress, including Senators Ted Cruz, Kevin Cramer, Tom Cotton, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham and Representative Mike Gallagher, for leading on this issue,” noted CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.
With more than 5 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish People.
The CUFI Action Fund, a non-profit 501 (c) (4), nonpartisan organization, serves as the public policy arm of the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, Christians United for Israel. The Action Fund is dedicated to ensuring the millions of Christian Zionists across the country have their voices heard in our nation’s capital each and every day.
