CUFI Welcomes Trump Administration Announcements Ending Iran Oil Waivers, Targeting Hezbollah Financiers

WASHINGTON – The leaders of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, welcomed the Trump administration’s decisions today to end all oil waivers for Iran and offer a reward for information about financiers of the Islamic Republic’s terrorist proxy, Hezbollah.

“It’s quite clear that President Trump understands the importance of confronting Iran’s malevolence at every corner. Limiting Iran’s revenue and targeting Hezbollah’s financiers is a one-two punch against the Islamic Republic’s support for terror. The President said he would engage in a maximum economic pressure campaign against Iran and with today’s announcements its clear Mr. Trump is keeping to his word,” said CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.

“Ever since the Iran nuclear agreement’s parameters were announced, CUFI has been lobbying against this deal in large part because it enabled Iran to expand its support for terror. The Trump administration’s decision to target Iran’s pocketbook and Hezbollah’s bankers serves both American and Israeli national security interests,” noted CUFI Action Fund Chairwoman Sandra Parker.

With more than 5 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish People.

The CUFI Action Fund, a non-profit 501 (c) (4), nonpartisan organization, serves as the public policy arm of the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, Christians United for Israel. The Action Fund is dedicated to ensuring the millions of Christian Zionists across the country have their voices heard in our nation’s capital each and every day.
