Day 1 ~ Home City/Los Angeles
Depart home city to Los Angeles, CA.
Evening orientation and overnight at Marriott LAX Hotel. Please book your hotel room reservation at your own expense. Dinner and Breakfast will be provided by CUFI.

Day 2 ~ Los Angeles/Enroute
Morning return to Los Angeles International Airport flying overnight to Israel.

Day 3 ~ Tel Aviv/Tiberias
Arrive Ben Gurion Airport. Meet, assist and begin traveling north along the Israeli coastline passing Caesarea, the Roman capital of Judea.

Day 4 ~ Tiberias
Morning orientation with Elliot Chodoff, a political and military analyst specializing in the Middle East conflict and the global war on terrorism. The day will be spent with Elliot as escort to the border outpost to meet Israeli soldiers who keep Israel safe along her northern border with Lebanon. Continue onto the Golan Heights, for a Northern Israel strategic tour. See the former Syrian fortifications and understand the strategic importance of this area. Enjoy a St. Peter’s fish lunch before crossing the Sea of Galilee by boat, with time for reflection and prayer. Next, visit Migdal, for a visit to Magdala and the First Century synagogue on the Galilee. Then, onto the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Capernaum, seeing the ruins of the ancient synagogue. This evening enjoy a Galilean style grill dinner on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 5 ~  Tiberias/Jerusalem
Morning meeting with Greek Orthodox Priest, Father Gabriel Naddaf, spiritual head of Israeli Christian Recruitment Forum. Stop at Yardenit, Baptismal site on the Jordan River. Then, begin the journey up to Jerusalem, driving through the Mountains of Judea arriving in the holy city just in time for a special panoramic welcome ceremony atop Mount Scopus. Next, visit Mahane Yehuda Market, experiencing how Jerusalemites prepare for Shabbat. Welcome the Sabbath at the Kotel, Western Wall. Enjoy home hospitality and Shabbat dinner together with a host family.

Day 6 ~ Jerusalem
Morning meeting with special speaker Khaled Abu Toameh, Palestinian Affairs Journalist. drive into the Judean wilderness, passing the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue to Masada, King Herods’s desert fortress-palace and last stronghold of the Jewish zealots against the Roman domination in 73 CE. Enjoy a quick float in the Dead Sea before returning to Jerusalem. Following dinner, enjoy an evening excursion to Ben Yehuda Street. Overnight, Jerusalem (B,D)

Day 7 ~  Jerusalem
Morning overview from atop Mount of Olives. Walk down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Continue with time of worship at St. Anne’s Church. Experience Ir David, the City of David with an exciting journey both above and below ground through excavations, fortresses and passageways, walking through the Canaanite tunnel, followed by a visit to the Southern Steps.

Day 8 ~  Jerusalem
Begin this morning with special speaker, Rabbi Pesach Wolicki. Then onto the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu and Caiphas’ House. Next, ascend Mt. Zion to the site of the Upper Room of the Last Supper. Continue to the Jewish Quarter of the Old City that was reconstructed after the city was unified at the conclusion of the Six-Day War in 1967. A special point of interest in the restored Jewish Quarter is the “Cardo”, meaning the “heart” of this ancient Byzantine city. Conclude the day walking the Western Wall Tunnels, experiencing more than 2,000 years of history.

Day 9 ~  Jerusalem
This morning, tour of the Security Fence and IDF Check Points with Danny Tirza – Col. (Res.). Danny Tirza is in charge of planning the security fence between the West Bank and Israel, Israel’s largest infrastructure project. Depart to the city of Sderot including overviews of Gaza for a strategic tour of the area. This evening, meet with Sgt. Benjamin Anthony, a veteran and combat reservist in the Israel Defense Forces.

Day 10 ~  Jerusalem/Enroute
Continue with a special service at the Garden Tomb. Onto the unforgettable Memorial to the Holocaust at Yad Vashem. A visit to the Friends of Zion Museum is the last stop today, dedicated to the outstanding contributions of Christians to the State of Israel. Enjoy a farewell dinner together before transferring to the airport with assistance in departure for the flight to the United States.

Day 11 ~  Enroute/USA
Arrival in the United States later today.
