A Discussion with a Survivor

In one of history’s most horrific chapters, during the Jewish people’s most dire hour of need, the silence of the Western World was deafening. It is imperative, especially during this time of rising anti-Semitism, that we learn the lessons of history and hear the perspectives of those who lived it.

Join Holocaust educator and survivor Irving Roth as he discusses his experience and applies his knowledge to today’s world.

LIVE WEBINAR

Wednesday, May 13th

Irving Roth was born in 1929 in Košice, Czechoslovakia. His family fled to Hungary and hid there until 1944, when he and his brother were deported to Auschwitz. Of the 4,000 Jews in his Auschwitz transport, only 300 survived the initial selection on the Auschwitz-Birkenau arrival platform. Irving is the DIrector of the Holocaust Resource Center – Temple Judea of Manhasset and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine. He is a recognized author and speaker on anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. He is also a frequent lecturer at CUFI events, churches, synagogues, colleges, and universitites in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He has been featured in documentaries on HBO, The History Channel, and in CUFI’s forthcoming film Never Again?
