ICYMI: CUFI’s Leadership Summit Concludes Following Remarks from Top U.S., Israeli Officials

February 24, 2020 SAN ANTONIO –Earlier this month, the leadership of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, concluded its annual Leadership Summit in San Antonio which featured speakers from the Trump Administration, the Netanyahu Government, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli civil society.

CUFI’s Leadership Summit is a two-day event designed to invite leaders from across the country to hear from officials, dignitaries and experts on a wide range of topics relevant to U.S. policy in the Middle East, combating anti-Semitism and strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship.

Attendees received political and diplomatic briefings from Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer and U.S. Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism Elan Carr. Ze’ev Orenstein of the City of David Project provided an update on current archeological work. Lt. Col. Eyal Dror (IDF res.), founder and commander of Israel’s Operation Good Neighbor unit, and Seth Davis of IsraAID, an Israeli NGO focused on disaster relief around the world, also briefed attendees on Israel’s ongoing global humanitarian efforts.

“This is the way to combat anti-Semitism: to give credit to the Jewish people for their contributions to the world. Whether people want to admit it or not, they have Israel to thank for making their lives safer, easier and more abundant. We must meet anti-Semitism with condemnation and call it what it is,” remarked CUFI founder and Chairman Pastor John Hagee.
With more than 8 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its educational message.
