On Saturday, July 20th, our National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus and his wife Rev. Mildred De Jesus, who is also our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network Hispanic Outreach Director, conducted a bilingual Why Israel event in Phoenix, Arizona during the annual Women’s Convention of the Assemblies of God Southwest District. This particular event was co-hosted by their District Women’s Director Pastor Elena Torres and District Superintendent Pastor Emilio De La Cruz, who is also our CUFI Arizona Hispanic Outreach State Director. Approximately 315 women attended this event and responded very well to becoming modern-day Esther’s who have come to God’s kingdom for such a time as this to stand in solidarity for the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. It was great to see some of them become CUFI members, join our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, and give offerings towards our CUFI On Campus work. Additionally, it was extra special to find out from Superintendent Emilio De La Cruz that he has accepted our invitation for him to join us this November on our Latino Pastors Israel Tour. We believe our Hispanic Outreach in Arizona will continue grow as a result this great event and the great leadership of Superintendent De La Cruz and his Southwest District Team!
