June 13 Amarillo, TX Spanish Stand With Israel

Our first-ever Spanish Standing With Israel event in Amarillo, Texas took place on Wednesday, June 13th, thanks to our Amarillo Hispanic Outreach City Director, Pastor Efrain Pineda of Vida Church, and one of his ministry colleagues, Pastor Ray Ramos of Amarillo Para Cristo Church. This historic night was held during Amarillo Para Cristo’s midweek Spanish service, to which Pastor Efrain Pineda’s congregation also attended in demonstration of unity and solidarity between both of these churches in standing with Israel. Both congregations were very receptive and responsive to the CUFI vision, mission, and pro-Israel biblical mandate that was shared by Rev. Peter De Jesus who serves as our National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator. As a result, many of the Pastors and Leaders in attendance, including a group that drove two hours from another church in Lubbock, Texas, became members of CUFI and also gave offerings towards CUFI On Campus. Additionally, Amarillo Para Cristo expressed their desire to have another CUFI event later this year for their English ministry, and discussion was begun for a regional Hispanic Outreach Night To Honor Israel in 2019 or 2020. With all that in mind, we believe this first-time event will lead to many other events and CUFI momentum in the months and years to come!
