May 15th DeSoto, TX Bilingual Why Israel Event
On Wednesday, May 15th, our CUFI National Hispanic Outreach Coordinator Rev. Peter De Jesus and his wife Rev. Mildred De Jesus, who is our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network Hispanic Outreach National Director, conducted a “Why Israel” bilingual-speaking event in DeSoto, Texas. This event was hosted by Pastors Joshua and Lavan Rivera of Fuego de Dios church of the Assemblies of God North Texas District. As a result of their congregation receiving our CUFI presentation and biblical mandate to stand with Israel, many of their congregants became CUFI members, joined our Daughters For Zion Prayer Network, and gave offerings toward our CUFI On Campus efforts. It was an extra blessing to have a surprise visit at this event from Rev. Rafael Cruz, father of Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who in addition to being a Christian Hispanic International Minister, is also a CUFI member residing in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. As a result of Rev. Cruz gracing us with his presence, after the event, we enjoyed a wonderful impromptu meet and greet with him and Pastors Rivera. Overall, this event was quite extraordinary as was our time with Rev. Rafael Cruz!
